Recreation Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recreational therapists plan, direct, and coordinate
recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries, or
illnesses. Recreational therapists use a variety of modalities, including arts
and crafts, drama, music, dance, sports, games, and community reintegration
field trips to help maintain or improve a patient’s physical, social, and emotional
well-being.
Salary:
$42,280 per year
$20.33 per hour
Education:
Most people need a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy
although doctorate and master’s degrees are also available. A supervised
internship of at least 560 hours is needed. . Therapists must also take
continuing education classes to maintain certification.
I would not like to be one, as the pay seems pretty low and it also seems like a lot of work
