This quote is trying to say that whenever you are obedient life is trying to test you for who you are. It can determine the kind of person you are going to be whenever you obey or disobey. People will judge you based on how obedient you are. They’ll see if you can follow instructions or not. Some people will only accept the most obedient of all people.
