“There is no giant step that does it. It’s a lot of little steps.”
-Anon

This quote is trying to tell us that there will never be just one single step to get to something great. There is no magic button. You can just do one thing and get everything you’ve dreamed of. You have to make several steps. You take a lot of small steps and eventually get it. You will get what you want but you have to work toward it. It’s the little steps that count for everything. Just keep on taking all of those small steps. One day you will see that everything you’ve ever wanted sits right in front of your eyes.

“Right is right even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong even if everyone is for it.”
-William Penn

This quote gets its point across very directly. It says exactly what it means to say. If something is right, it is right. If something is wrong, it is wrong. Sometimes people might prefer to do something even if it is wrong. Sometimes people may not want something even if it is right. This does not change whether or not that thing is right. Do the right thing even if everyone says not to. Don’t do the wrong thing even if everyone tells you to do it.  Maybe you’re with your friends and you’re walking on the street. You spot an old lady trying to cross. You say to your friends that they should all try to help her. Everyone says no and to just leave her alone. You choose to do the right thing even though your friends said not to

“Cowardice asks the question ‘Is it safe?’ Expediency asks the question ‘Is it politic?’ Vanity asks the question ‘Is it popular?’
But, conscience, asks the question ‘Is it right?’ And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one’s conscience tells on that it is right.”
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This quote is trying to say that many other sorts of customs and mentalities ask things of certain situations. There are spots in your mind that ask questions about things, whether you should do them or not, even if they’re not right. One day there will come a time where you must choose something, not because it is safe, politic, or popular, but because it is the right thing to do.

“Let us have faith that right makes right, and in that faith let us to end dare to do our duty as we understand it.”
-Abraham Lincoln

Lincoln is trying to get the point across that positive acts should spawn more positive acts. We must take away that mentality that doing the right thing won’t do anything good for the world. We have to do what we have to do and we should not let anything get in the way of what is right for us and for everyone else.

“The reward for doing the right is mostly an internal phenomenon:
Self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem.”
-Dr.Laura Schlessinger

This quote is trying to say that there really isn’t a physical reward for doing something that is right. You don’t receive money, food, or praise for being a Good Samaritan. What you do get is internal feelings, feelings of self-respect, dignity, and happiness. You feel like a good person for doing a good thing and that’s all you get.

“Right is only right when entire”
-Victor Hugo

This quote is trying to say that you can only do the right thing if you are completely right. You can’t do two good things then one bad thing and still be right. If you want to truly right you must be entirely right. For example, if you donate five million dollars to a charity, but you got that money by running an extensive drug operation by selling methamphetamine throughout multiple states, it doesn’t make you a good person; you’re still a bad one.

“That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed, but our power to do has increased.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

This quote is trying to tell us that when we persist at something, it becomes easier to do. It doesn’t become easier because the thing itself has changed; it becomes easier because we have a better ability to do this thing. Maybe one day you decide you want to start playing basketball. You have only just begun so you probably aren’t very good at it at all. But maybe eventually you could start getting better, then better, then better. Then in a few years you could be playing in the NBA as one of the core players on your team.
Psychiatrist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Psychiatrists are physicians who specialize in the problems of mental illness.  As physicians, they are licensed to use a very wide variety of treatment and may write prescriptions.  Psychiatrists may work for the government, have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities.  Their duties include designing treatment programs, conducting psychotherapy sessions, prescribing potent mental illness drugs, supervising electrotherapy treatments, conducting research, and lead a team of mental health team providers.
Salary:

$90,000 - $200,000

In addition to completing the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine, psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.

I wouldn't like to be a psychiatrist, I don't think I would be too good at giving advice.

When You Tell One Lie
Paul Hatch

When you tell one lie, it leads to another
So you tell two lies to cover each other
Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,
You’re in trouble up to your ears!

So you tell four lies to try to protect you
Then you tell five lies so folks won't suspect you
Then you tell six lies and you'll collect
A life filled with worries and fears

‘Cause you can’t remember how many lies you’ve told,
And half the things you said aren’t true
And sometime you’ll slip up, you’ll trip up and then
Whatever will become of you?

So you lie without even trying
And each lie you tell will be multiplying
Till the whole wide world will know you’re lying
Then you’ll be
Suspected
Detected
Rejected
Neglected
Disliked
And you should!
When you lie, you’re closing the door

On everything good

“Your worth consists in what you are and not in what you have.”
-Thomas Edison, Inventor

This quote is telling you that no matter what you own and how much money you have, your personality will always be the person you are. If you have 10 imported cars a huge mansion and 2 billion dollars, none of that will matter if you’re a self-righteous, arrogant, cocky jerk. This quote is often presented in the media with rich celebrities yelling at their fans or doing obscene things in public just because they’re rich.

I wouldn’t like to be one, the job seems to offer a low pay for such difficult work.

“The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in the determination”
-Tommy Lasorda

This quote is trying to tell you that anything you’ve ever wanted is possible as long as you are determined to get what you want. All you have to do is keep trying and trying and trying and all you’ve ever wanted will come to you. If you want an expensive phone but you have no one that will pay it for you, you must take it into your hands and earn money to buy it.

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
-Henry David Thoreau
This quote does not really have much to interpret. It is very straight-forward and it just tells you what you should do and that it is a good idea. Just go and do what you have always wanted to accomplish. Don’t hold back because of what others may say. If you want to be a rocket scientist, then go ahead and become one!
Pharmacist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Pharmacists compound, or prepare, prescriptions written by practitioners.  They review these prescriptions to validate their accuracy and then prepare the medication.  They weigh, measure, and mix drugs and then they are dispensed to the patients. Pharmacists answer patients' and customers' questions about the drugs they are taking and otc drugs.  In some cases, pharmacists are responsible for taking inventory of the drugs on the shelves and ordering any which they are low on. Pharmacists work in hospitals, clinics, health departments, universities, and grocery, drug, and discount stores.

Salary:
$33,000 - $51,000

Education:
AP or IB classes available in English, science, and math should be taken. All pharmacists must graduate from a college of pharmacy.  Most pharmacy schools require applicants to take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (P-CAT), and some require up to two years of pre-pharmacy education.  Other colleges will admit students directly from high school.

I wouldn’t like to be a pharmacist. The job seems like it would get boring very quickly
