“I will persist until I succeed”
-Og Mandino
(Author of the “Greatest Salesman in the World”)

This quote is trying to say that everything you’ve ever wanted will be available to you as long as you persist.  Just keep trying and trying and trying and you’ll eventually achieve that thing that you want to achieve. You may encounter many problems in your life but if you keep trying you'll get through them and at the same time you’ll be a better person. Maybe you have difficult homework. As long as you persist you’ll finish it.

Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than successful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”
-President Calvin Coolidge
30th president of the U.S.

This quote is saying that persistence is a one of a kind thing. There’s nothing in the world that can replace persistence. Talent is just an illusion, anyone can be as good as someone with “talent”, they just have to persist and try harder and harder until they reach the point they wish to be at. Genius can’t replace persistence, what is a genius who refuses to persist and try hard? Education can’t replace persistence either; there are so many people in the world that are educated. It is those that persist and try hard to get what they want that succeed in the end. If someone wants to be a doctor they can persist until they become one.

“Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement”
-Matt Biondi
Olympic Gold Medal Winner, World Record Holder

I agree with Matt Biondi when he says this. He is trying to say that if you keep trying and trying and trying, you will achieve great things. Even if you fail 99 times, you can succeed on your 100th time and even then you can get better and better. Maybe you tried to play basketball against your best friend who was undefeated. You probably lost the first time, and the next, and maybe even the next one. Eventually, with persistence and hard training, you may finally be able to beat him, and maybe eventually you can join the NBA.

The majority of them are general practitioners, family practitioners, or emergency medicine specialists.

Salary:
$110,000

“The answers to these questions will determine your success or failure:
1.        Can people trust me to do what is right?
2.       Am I committed to doing my very best?
3.       Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.”
                                                      -Lou Holtz

I know that people can trust me to do what is right. I am often committed to doing my very best, and I treat people the way I would like to be treated. That alone tells me that I can always succeed if I really want to succeed. I know that with all of these things, nobody can ever bring me down and I will prevail.

“Never look to the ground for your next step. Greatness belongs to those who look to the horizon.”
-Bud Greenspan

Looking at the ground is not going to tell you what to do next. If you look up, you’ll see forward and see what is next. This is like a metaphor for staying positive and negative. If you stay positive, you’ll achieve and do great, and see your life unfolding in front of you, with a smile in your face. If you stay negative, you’ll be alone, not knowing what to do and feeling like the world is only collapsing around you.

Physical Fitness

John F. Kennedy was trying to inspire people to keep fit throughout all their years. He wanted everyone to keep that child-like energy when competing in sports and when exercising. He wanted all Americans to stay well and healthy and try to stay that way. I can do this by exercising regularly and not eating too much food that is bad for my body. I can stay away from things that could make me get unfit like too much alcohol and too much junk food. I could stay healthy by keeping away from drugs that could harm me like tobacco, cocaine, and heroin
Student Success Statement
"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. “Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”

If you’re doing what is right then you are the one that is really winning the competition. You chose to do the right thing and not cheat like the other team just to win. You are the real winner, not them.
