Optometrist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Optometrists treat vision problems.  They diagnose the problem and then prescribe corrective eyeglasses, contact lenses, or vision therapy. They may not write medical prescriptions, treat diseases, or perform surgery. Most optometrists are self-employed, however many work for hospitals, government agencies, optical manufacturers, or universities.

Salary:
$78,000

Education:
Students interested in becoming an optometrist should take high school courses (AP or IB) available in math, science, and English. Two years of college in a professional program is required before entering optometry school that is four years in length.  After being awarded the degree of Doctor of Optometry, optometrists must pass state exams before starting to practice.

I would like to become an optometrist, it has a very high paying salary.
