“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”
-Mother Teresa

I think that this statement means that when you say something nice, it may only last for a short while. They will feel nice to the person but they won’t really leave them feeling really good. However, their echoes will stay with someone for a long time and can last endlessly. Maybe if you give someone a very nice compliment when they’re having a bad, it can switch their day from terrible to okay, or maybe even better.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.”
-Charles Ketterer

I agree with this quote. I do believe that creating your future will ensure that you know what will happen. If you set up your future, then you will know exactly what to expect. You’ll be the master at predicting your future. You can plan what you want to do with your life so you know what to expect. Maybe you want to become a lawyer and you want to know what will happen in your future. Well, if you plan ahead, then you’ll know exactly what to do what will happen in the future

Friday Agenda

Today at we had an assembly. The teachers at this school were involved as actor for a few skits that they showed. The skits were about proper etiquette at school. For example they made a skit about proper attire for school. They also showed us about respecting the teachers and students alike. We all sat on the floor and watched the teachers onstage acting. Between skits, they showed us a few videos on the projector.

“Action is the foundational key to all success.”

Pablo Picasso

This quote shows how you have to do something in order to succeed in life. I agree at action is most definitely the key to all success. If you lay back and do nothing where your life, you won’t end up anywhere, you’ll just be unsuccessful and washed up. If you want to become a doctor you can’t just lay back on the couch and watch TV. If you want to be a doctor you have to step up and do something with your life.
Pyramid Healing

Duties and Responsibilities:
Pyramid healing is an alternative healing practice that is based on the idea that the pyramid will provide energy that will heal your body and mind. Pyramids are thought to be associated with growth, production, and vitality. Practitioners seek to heal such ailments as general fatigue, depression and anxiety, tension, and even the common cold.
The Healing & Meditation Pyramid has unique healing properties .The pyramid is portable and therefore can be used indoors or outdoors. Many people use the Healing & Meditation Pyramid to improve their sleeping patterns and for inner peace and healing by falling asleep inside the pyramid.
Salary:
$100-$300 per pyramid

Education:
No education is needed to become a pyramid healer but information on the practice is available on the internet on different websites and articles online.

I would not personally want to be one, for one, the pay is pretty low. I also don’t see any scientific evidence that this pyramid actually works. I believe that this pyramid healing process merely offers a placebo effect and doesn’t offer any physical healing.

“Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.”

Japanese Proverb

I think that this quote is trying to tell you that you must plan ahead in order to accomplish your goals. I like how this quite encourages you to try to do what you want to do. It means that dreaming is nothing more than just thinking about something, you can always have dreams but you may never act upon them and try to accomplish them. If you go ahead and try to do something without trying to plan ahead, you will mess everything up. Say you have dreams of becoming a pilot, you may imagine flying all day long while you’re sitting bored in math class, it’ll always just be a daydream if you do nothing about it. If you never really wanted to become a pilot but you just did it because it was the only thing available, it won’t be good for you, it’ll be a nightmare.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Nuclear Medicine Technologists get substances ready to administer as well as actually administering, these substances treat diseases. They begin to position machinery over patients so the machines can take pictures. These pictures allow physicians to identify abnormal areas. These pictures often help diagnosis.
Nuclear medicine technologists explain these procedures to those that have to go through them, then they administer the radioactive doses, either through mouth or injection.  They also test tissues in laboratories for further study.  They have to follow very strict safety regulations because of how dangerous radioactivity can be to their bodies
Salary:

$28,000 - $42,000
Education:
Students who want to become a nuclear medicine technologist should take the highest levels of Math, Science and English.
Nuclear medicine technology training can be very different, ranging from one year to four years.  One year courses are often offered at hospitals and grant certification.  Associate and bachelor degrees are offered in colleges and universities.  Classes that should be taken are about safety around radioactivity and how to use the technology you will have to do. Almost all states require licensing, and all technologists must meet federal standards for administering and using of radioactive materials.

I would like to become a nuclear medicine technologist. I think I can work well with people and I also like dealing with radioactive materials

“Adversity causes some men to break--others to break records”
-William A. Ward

Adversity can cause certain people to break under pressure. Some other people will take their problems as a challenge and plow through them. Maybe at some point in your life, something will go wrong, you can choose to let it swallow you whole, or you can choose to do what it takes for it to be right. One day you might have a teacher who gives you an extremely difficult and time consuming project worth 500 points. You may want to quit right then and there and let it ruin you for that whole class. You may also choose to accept this challenge and ace it with flying colors, and it’ll be known that you were the one to complete this task and do it perfectly.

Student Success Statement
"The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves."

-          Anonymous Author

I think that this statement can reflect how people should try to be the best person they can. They shouldn’t try to impress others, or try to be like them either, it says how we, as a society should try to become better and better every day. We shouldn’t try to compete with other people; we should all try to be better than we were last time. If you do something you’re proud of, do something that would surprise you and make you proud. For example, maybe one day you decide to try to learn a song on a guitar, eventually you finally learn how to play that specific song. You can then outdo yourself and learn to read sheet paper so you can play ANY song on the guitar.
