Abraham Lincoln

In this short tale, Abraham Lincoln was riding on a stagecoach with a man. The man offered Lincoln a bottle of whiskey but he declined. Later he offered Lincoln a cigar to smoke, but he declined. He told the man a story about how his mother was sick on her deathbed when he was nine years old. She made him promise to never drink whiskey or use tobacco for as long as he would live. He chose to keep his promise and not drink whiskey or use tobacco.
